Eric Wood is speaking out for mental health on college campuses, and the keyword is collaboration. In a series of short videos, the director of counseling and mental health talks about the strides that have been made at TCU.
Wood said he鈥檚 fighting the narrative that mental health on college campuses is too big of a problem to solve, and TCU鈥檚 Comprehensive Collaborative Care Model is a key component. It works in large part because of the contribution of faculty members.
鈥淭hey鈥檙e a huge referral source for us. They鈥檙e on the front lines. They see students who are distressed,鈥� he explains. 鈥淎 lot of times students will say they came because a faculty member recommended that they come.鈥�
