TCU鈥檚 culture of leadership and connection can be felt throughout the institution.

Over the past decade, TCU has been deemed a 鈥淕reat College to Work For鈥 by the The Chronicle of Higher Education. That鈥檚 because our powerful academic community starts at the top and influences everything we do.

Our institution is governed by a board of trustees comprising outstanding business, community and civic leaders from across the state and nation. It has legal authority over the academic and financial policies, operations and general welfare of the University.

The board elects the chancellor and other senior administrative officers, and provides oversight and stewardship for the University鈥檚 long-term planning. It approves tuition and fees, operating and capital budgets, academic policies and programs, granting of tenure, capital projects, fund-raising initiatives, strategic plans and other key matters affecting the University.

Our chancellor functions as the university鈥檚 chief quality officer: presiding over financial matters, maintaining the school鈥檚 growth and reputation and establishing a clear vision for the future.

"TCU is a place where differences can become strengths, where personal attention brings success, and where great things happen when we learn from one another."  Chancellor Boschini

TCU鈥檚 provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs oversees academic values and practices, instilling a culture of scholarship while overseeing the day-to-day functions of intellectual endeavors. The provost is the chief academic officer of the University and is required to plan, coordinate and improve all the various academic programs offered by the University. He or she is the senior member of the chancellor's staff and acts for the chancellor in his absence.
